5K Rise – Privacy policy

Last updated 6 November 2026. Developer: Jakub Brezovsky.

The app sends nothing anywhere

5K Rise has no Communications (network) permission. It cannot send data anywhere: no servers, no accounts, no analytics. Nothing leaves your watch except the activity that Garmin Connect syncs itself.

What stays on the watch

Your place in the plan (week and run), your run history (date, week, run, whether it was completed, your “How did it go?” and “Any pain?” answers, duration and distance), the state of a run in progress so it can be resumed after a restart, the data for the glance and your settings (heart rate guard, start week, language, outdoors or treadmill) are stored only on your watch. Deleting the app removes them.

What the app reads on the watch

Heart rate (from the wrist sensor or a connected chest strap) and position (GPS, outdoors only) during a run, and the heart-rate zones from your Garmin user profile for the optional heart rate guard. The app does not read your age, weight or any other profile data. These readings are used on the watch only.

What goes to your Garmin account

When you save a run, it is saved as an activity (run or treadmill run: time, distance, heart rate, a lap for every run and walk segment, and the app’s extra fields: week, run number, completion and run/walk segment) like any other activity, and Garmin Connect syncs it to your own Garmin account under Garmin’s privacy policy.
